How to read the charts
Four conventions are used throughout. Learn them once and every figure on the site becomes legible.
Blue is food. Orange is fuel.
Consistent across every chart. Green marks grain feedstock; teal marks water.

Never colour alone
The fuel stream always carries a diagonal hatch; price lines are dashed; derived points are hollow. Colour blindness never costs you information.
⚠ means two authorities disagree
Where you see the marker, both published figures appear nearby with their sources. We do not average them or pick one.

Indian conventions throughout: one is 100,000 tonnes; one is 10 million.
Two years that are not the same year
The runs October to September. The runs 1 November to 31 October. A figure quoted for “2025-26” means different months depending on which is meant, and we label which.
Derived points look derived
Where a value is back-cast or computed rather than published, it is drawn hollow or dashed and labelled in the data table. Nothing derived is presented as an observation.
